With the weather set to brighten, it wont be long until we can make the most the glorious Jurassic Coast and surrounding area. There's plenty of events and activities for the entire family to enjoy this march, Easpecially around the Seaton Area. Here's a few...

2016's Grizzly Run.

With the main run set to start on Sunday 13th March, featuring 2000 runners, the Grizzly features nearly 20 miles of multi-terrain where the runners have to experience large amounts of mud, bogs, hills and beaches. The Grizzly is not for the faint hearted. Watch them set off at the Esplanade, Seaton.

There is also a Junior Grizzly and Fun run being held on Saturday 12th March. The Fun Run is being held at 2.15pm and covers 2k and the Junior Grizzly starts at 2.45 and covers 4k, the course for these two runs is flat with mainly tarmac but small amounts of shingle.

River Axe Race

The same day at the Main Grizzly Run, (Sunday 13th MArch), The River Axe Race, starts at Whitford Bridge at 11am and Finishes at Axmouth Harbour. A 5 mile canoe race, there is a variety of classes and age categories, allowing for fair competitive racing. The River Axe Race is a part of the British Canoeing Classic Marathon Series.

Holyford Woods Night Walk.

Held at Holyford Woods on Friday 18th March at 7pm, this walk after dark offers you the opportuity to experience the woods after dark. discover the woods night life such as their resident owls and look athe the stars. This is an event where its best to wear warm clothing and a good pair of wellies of boots. Don't forget to ring your torch!

Little Ones' Wild Walk

Suitable fro pre-school children and under 7's, explore the Seaton Marches Local Nature Reserve on this discovery walk starting at the Nature Reserve's Entrance Gate.

This is being held on 22nd March between 1.45-3.15pm, (There is a suggested donation of £2.00 per child).
